James WJ Wilson is a novelist, screenwriter and engineering leader. For more than twenty years, he has built and led software teams across regulated finance, SaaS and digital businesses, where questions of trust, evidence, risk and human judgement are practical rather than theoretical. His fiction explores people living inside systems—technological, institutional and social—that work well enough to become difficult to question. His debut novel, Do Spiders Leave Footprints?, is literary speculative fiction about memory, automation and the quiet point at which assistance becomes dependence. His other works include The Club, a screenplay about class, loyalty, aspiration and escape over three nights in a West End nightclub. James lives in London.
